Project Description
This project relates to an upcoming Fall 2026 exhibit titled In a State of IF that will be hosted at MIAD. The project requires researching and archiving the reproductive political discourse of infertility. Research may also be required related to reaching out to WI community artists to invite them to submit their work for the exhibit. Research connected to the role of arts therapy and its impact on reproductive health conditions will also be part of this work.
Tasks and Responsibilites
Students will be expected to assist with the following:
-create an archive tracing the federal and local legislation impacting infertility treatments and family building access in the U.S.
-research and possibly reach out to local WI artists working in the areas of reproductive health
-assist with identifying additional grant funding to support an arts therapy infertility workshop
-create content and assist in managing the social media of The ART of Infertility (which this faculty PI is a co-director of)
Desired Qualifications
Must have junior standing and must be open to talking and learning about infertility. Student's should have strong written and communication skills. They should be available to support this project at 5 hours/week.
