Creation and Implementation of New Digital Tools for Instruction in Medieval Art

Project Description

For this project, the student collaborator will assist with a review and implementation of new digital tools for Art History in-classroom pedagogy recommended to the faculty by UWM CETL. The objective is to improve and make more dynamic the delivery of visual information in a classroom setting. In addition, the student will explore the possibility of using 3-D modelling in connection with the mentor's personal research on medieval church interiors.

Tasks and Responsibilites

In collaboration with the mentor, the student will review older PowerPoint presentations, study their content and organization, and undertake to revise and translate material to a new digital platform. Drawing on their digital rendering skills, the student will also atttempt to recreate the interior of the thirteenth-century choir of the Gothic abbey church of Longpont (France).
