An Exploration of Chronic Stress in Oneida Communities and Their Effects on Mental Health

Project Description

This project is focused on understanding the stressors facing Indigenous communities (e.g., forced relocation, discrimination, poverty, intergenerational trauma), and their relationship to mental health outcomes (e.g., mood, anxiety, trauma, substance use).

Tasks and Responsibilites

After consulting the scientific literature, our team will design a qualitative project to better elucidate these relationships. We will utilize a community-engaged approach to support the collection of data from a range of representatives from the Oneida community.
