Project Description
We are conducting a longitudinal study of a 10-session group program for older adults called "Aging Together." The program includes education about ageism and storytelling within a supportive peer group. Groups are facilitated by trained older adults. We are conducting 30 minute phone surveys at 4 time points (pre, post, 1-month, and 3-month follow up). We are using generalized estimating equations to determine whether participating in this program can help reduce internalized and relational ageism and enhance psychosocial well-being of older adults (i.e., social connectedness, self-efficacy, purpose in life, depressive symptoms, and cognitive function).
