Yanelis Santiago

Yanelis Santiago (she/her) is a third-year student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She
is earning her bachelor's degree in psychology, a minor in Portuguese, and a certificate in
cultures and Communities. She began her research journey in the fall of 2024 through the
Success through Aging Research Program offered by the Office of Undergraduate Research.
Santiago is working with faculty mentor Dr. Bowman in the Cognition, Aging, and Brain
Imaging lab (CABI). Her primary focus in the lab is to understand how we store and retrieve
memories. In the future, Yanelis would like to achieve a master's or doctoral degree in
educational psychology.
