Pressure Dependent Response of the Fibroblast Cells with Mitochondria Tracking

Engineering & Applied Science (College of) / Mechanical Engineering

Project Description

The research aims to examine how hypertensive pressure (HP) influences fibroblast cell responses, specifically through monitoring mitochondria staining and function. The primary goal is to elucidate the mechanisms by which pressure impacts fibroblast mitochondrial function, adhesion properties, and gap formation, which are critical to understanding cellular behavior under pressure stress. Clarifying these mechanisms will aid in the development of targeted therapeutic strategies to manage cellular damage related to hypertension and mechanical stress.
