Human Neuroscience of Healthy Cognitive Aging

Letters & Science (College of) / Psychological & Brain Sciences

Project Description

The overall objective of this research is to better understand how cognition changes in older age and to characterize the functional brain changes that underlie changes in cognition. We use a mix of behavioral and MRI studies in young (18-30 years old) and older adults (60+ years) to address this overall objective.

Tasks and Responsibilites

Students are responsible for participant recruitment and data collection for behavioral studies. Advanced students are also involved in study design, programming experiments, collection of MRI data, data analysis, and study dissemination (conference presentations, manuscript writing). Students at all levels also take part in weekly lab meetings and lab service events.
