Project Description

The project involves three components: 1) the development of a presentation (with short segments of audio and film) for the Maryland Avenue Montessori School (K-8 and parent), regarding the mid-19th century Milwaukee history of the school's neighborhood and the ca1849 cemetery identified on school grounds; 2) engagement with the Maryland Avenue Montessori School educators and members of the public regarding the cemetery; and 3) development of recommendations for future public interpretation projects (such as signage and land use) for the cemetery.
