Developing a Research Stream: Completing and Communicating Research

Business (College of) / Business

Project Description

My research relies on archival data and regression analysis. There are four projects we will work to complete in the spring. The first two examine the impact of technology on 1) audit procedures (Audit Engagement Effectiveness, Production, and Economics: Usage of Technology-Assisted Analysis) and 2) proposals to conduct audits (Changes in Firm Governance: Do Firms Invest in Technology?). The third project examines the international internal inspection process of audit firms (Monitoring Quality of Group Audits: Internal and Regulatory Inspections of Component Auditors of U.S. Issuers), and the fourth project (Do Nonprofits Benefit from Being Audited by Issuer Partners?) examines whether specialization in one business sector improves audit quality in a different sector. As these projects near completion, I need help ensuring that the manuscripts are properly prepared and effectively communicate the study.

Tasks and Responsibilites

Manuscript completion: proofing data in tables and throughout the manuscript, confirming citations and references, finding miscellaneous supporting data (e.g., other relevant studies, government data, specific variables).
