Admissions Counselor: Zachary Tanz

Hello, and thanks for visiting our page! My name is Zachary, and I work with prospective students for the College of General Studies that encompasses UWM at Waukesha and UWM at Washington County. When I am not working directly with students, I am busy planning all the visit events for both branch campuses. If you see me at one of these, please say hello to me as I am very social and love to help students become successful in their college endeavors.
As a music performance and psychology major in my undergraduate career, I became passionate about higher education when I worked for my college’s admissions office. Getting to educate and inspire students for the office that admitted me was enlightening and rewarding, so I decided to do it for a living! Beyond work, I love animals, mountain/road biking, music, art and reading. Growing up in the Milwaukee area exposed me to many of these interests, and it is very gratifying to help students discover theirs through my own work.
