Adrian Robar

Adrian joined the Office of Sustainability in 2019 as a Recycling Hauler, and in 2023, he became the Sustainability Operations Coordinator, taking on day-to-day operations of the surplus program and logistics for the recycling warehouse. In Surplus, Adrian facilitates the reuse of thousands of items – furniture, supplies, and equipment – each year. Prior to UWM, Adrian worked for 20 years as a heavy equipment and forklift operator. He brings important technical skills from private manufacturing, and now is able to support sustainability efforts across the campus. Adrian hopes that people will continue to embrace recycling and reuse as a normal part of operations (and in life!), and he continues to learn more about sustainability efforts everyday.
