    Lindsay Frost

    • Sustainability Director, FINAA Sustainability

As Director for the Office of Sustainability within UWM's Facilities Planning & Management department, Lindsay drives culture change, sustainability strategies, and campus-wide collaborations. She leads the Office with a continuous improvement mindset and a broad understanding of the interconnected nature of water, energy, food, waste, and health. In addition to overseeing waste diversion programs (surplus, recycling, composting), campus gardens, natural spaces, green infrastructure, and sustainability engagement efforts, she also collaborates with facilities, planning, and state-wide colleagues to incorporate sustainability goals into the built environment. She particularly enjoys collaborating with students across diverse disciplines and sharing sustainability insights with the Milwaukee community. Over a decade ago while a student at UWM, Lindsay served as one of the first sustainability interns and helped in the very early days of the surplus program. Prior to returning to the Office in 2021, she served as Engagement Manger for Milwaukee County Parks, as a Project Manager at Harbor District, Inc., and in career services at the UWM School of Freshwater Sciences. She holds a B.S. in Conservation and Environmental Science, and an M.S. in Nonprofit Management and Leadership, both from UWM. For fun, she enjoys cooking, gardening, going on Boundary Waters canoe trips, and spreading joy by sharing flowers with others.
