New for Spring 2026!
The Office of Sustainability is launching a brand new ambassador program in Spring 2026! There is one track available for staff & faculty, and another track available for students, along with virtual and in-person workshop options. No previous experience is required!
The Sustainability and Resilience Ambassador program empowers students, faculty, and staff at UW-Milwaukee to engage in change-making on campus by deploying a sustainability mindset. Participants will take part in a series of three workshops throughout the spring semester. This professional development opportunity combines learning new frameworks, building a stronger connection to the UWM community, and applying a sustainability mindset to solving challenges big and small.
Sustainability is fun (admittedly, we are biased), and also kind of hard. To do it well, it often takes time, resilience, curiosity, and navigating the unknown. We are looking for participants who are up for a challenge and who want to be a part of positive, intentional change. As a pilot program, we are also looking for constructive feedback to inform future versions of the program.
The program is open to any and all students, faculty, and staff regardless of major, department, or position (with permission of supervisors, as required). Sustainability Ambassadors must complete three workshop trainings, and the first cohort of the program starts in February! For more information about spring workshop dates, complete the online Registration Form for the Spring Cohort.
If you cannot participate in Spring, complete the Interest Form to stay up to date on future Ambassador sessions.
