Lori has been coordinating suicide prevention programming for UWM faculty, staff, and students since 2016. She also provides stress management and self-care strategy programs for student groups and classes. Lori is dedicated to supporting students to further develop healthy coping skills and increase awareness of available mental health resources. She welcomes the opportunity to provide related outreach programs! Most recently, she has led the campus-wide launch of two digital well-being resources. Lori believes that it is extremely important to proactively promote emotional well-being so students can truly thrive throughout their academic career.
Lori earned her a bachelor's degree from the University of Montana, her master's in Health Education at Boston University and recently completed her PhD in Public Health here at UWM. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist. In her free time, she enjoys spending time along the Milwaukee lakefront with her family and attempting to garden.
