Division of Student Affairs

Our mission is to create a vibrant community where students feel a sense of belonging, foster transformative learning opportunities beyond the classroom, and provide services that support student well-being, helping them thrive and succeed at UWM. With a team of 280 professional staff across 20+ departments and over 1,200 student employees, we are dedicated to supporting student success both during their time at UWM and in their future careers.

In addition to daily services, UWM Student Affairs uses student feedback, survey data, and best practices to identify areas for improvement and growth. Divisional leadership assembles multidisciplinary teams from various departments to implement projects and initiatives, which are regularly reviewed for progress and celebrated for their impact on the student experience.
