Social Work Assistant Professor Andrew Steward served on a panel for the National Center to Reframe Aging‘s “Summit 2026: The Movement to Reframe Aging.” The panel discussion was titled “The Experts in the Room: How to Center Lived Experience in the Work of Reframing Aging.”
The event was livestreamed from the National Press Club in Washington and reached more than 800 participants across the country.
Summit 2026 explored how reframing aging can influence policy, strengthen partnerships, and improve health and well-being across the lifespan. Federal representatives, state and local leaders, researchers, philanthropists, business professionals, communications experts, and community organizations participated in the event.
