Joshua Mersky, PhD
Joshua Mersky, PhD is a professor in the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare at UW-Milwaukee and co-director of the Institute for Child and Family Well-being. Dr. Mersky’s interests include the design and evaluation of prevention and intervention programs that promote the health and well-being of disadvantaged children and families. Among his current projects, Dr. Mersky heads the evaluation of Wisconsin’s Family Foundations Home Visiting program, which supports evidence-based home visiting services for low-income families. He also is the lead evaluator of the Trauma and Recovery Project, a new partnership that aims to increase access to evidence-based mental health services for trauma-exposed children in Milwaukee and Racine counties.
