Join Osher at UWM on a 12-day/10-night exploration that shows you the highlights of south, central and northern Vietnam. Enjoy seeing famous cultural sites in the cities as well as meeting locals and sampling organic cuisine on farm tours as you discover the history, culture and beauty of this unique country.

  • Visit the Neo-Romanesque Notre Dame Cathedral and the magnificent Saigon Opera house in Ho Chi Minh City
  • Enjoy the lively Ben Thanh Market
  • Tour the Old City of Hoi An, one of the most important trading ports in Southeast Asia in the 15th century
  • Explore the Mekong Delta River area by boat, visiting a coconut factory, handicraft workshop and honeybee farm
  • Tour the Imperial City and 19th century Citadel in Hue, including a panoramic view of both the daily life and the architecture of Hue on a trishaw (cyclo) tour
  • Enjoy a boat trip on the Thu Bon River to see traditional woodworking and boatmaking before visiting the Organic Village for lunch
  • Adventure on a Perfume River Boat Trip with lunch at Dong Thien Pagoda
  • View the thousands of limestone islands rising out of the sea during the Halong Bay excursion
  • Visit the Museum of Ethnology and enjoy a Water Puppet Show in Hanoi

Is This Trip Right for You? 

This moderately paced program features some tours that will require walking for extended periods of time and walking over uneven terrain. Two of the city-to-city transfers are via flight. There may be a couple of early mornings, depending upon our group’s flight schedule.  

It is each traveler’s responsibility to have a passport valid for at least six months beyond the trip return date. 

Pricing for Trip: $5,540 per person double occupancy and $5,990 for single occupancy.
