Bio

Tori Silva is currently a senior in the Design and Visual Communication program at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, graduating in May of 2017. As an Intercultural Assistant at the Inclusive Excellence Center, she creates marketing material for programming to engage the UWM student body in critical discussions of social issues and programming for first-generation university students. This professional experience has reinforced her desire to strengthen as a designer as well as her ability to speak about her ideas & designs. She has been a continuous recipient of the Lawton Scholarship, which is awarded annually to high achieving minority undergraduate students who involve themselves in the university community, which is also shown by her inclusion in the Dean’s Honors List for three separate semesters. She is a member of the student chapter of AIGA and involves herself in the events made possible by the organization.
