About

The annual BFA Exhibition in Design represents the culmination of the senior undergraduate curriculum in Design and Visual Communication. Students present their projects and selected research to industry, faculty and students in a public celebration of their achievements as students at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

The primary goals of the curriculum are to advance students’ knowledge and skill sets in:

  • design thinking
  • problem-identification
  • problem-solving
  • design process
  • collaboration and co-creation
  • storytelling
  • evaluate message context and appropriateness
  • use of design for good principles

 

Over the span of 15 weeks, students are immersed in all aspects of design:

  • research
  • testing
  • dynamic storytelling
  • full production of highly-refined design solutions
  • professional preparation
  • public presentation of final works at the BFA Exhibition in Design
