Phillips Square

Though historical research and present-day observation, we discovered that Wisconsin Avenue was in need of a refreshing look to target tourists and locals alike. After developing a bright and cohesive color palette, illustrations were created to support the playful experience on Wisconsin Avenue. In addition, we wanted to provide a communal space for downtown employees to stop by and have lunch, for the community to gather, and for children to enjoy the outdoors. Therefore, Phillips Square, a 2-block-radius park, was designed for each of those groups to reside. Phillips returns aspect of greenery back into the city, hosts entertainment during the warmer months, and provides a great space for Milwaukeeans and the public to enjoy.
