FreshTrek started as an answer to the issue of food deserts in Milwaukee, especially in and around UWM’s campus.

By collaborating with various industry professionals on and off-campus, we developed an interactive poster/sticker series spaced in half-mile intervals to demonstrate the inaccessibility of food deserts. The series reminds individuals of the importance of equal ease-of-access to fresh food grocers, as well as emphasizing the importance of food assistive services like food pantries and their need for donations and volunteers.
