Bio

Alena is a committed division 1 student-athlete and senior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee double-majoring in both (DVC) Design and Visual Communication and JAMS (Journalism, Advertising, Media Studies) with an emphasis in Advertising. Alena strives to create meaningful and influential work through meaningful design. She’s a distance swimmer, Chihuahua lover, painter and world traveler. Her inspiration comes from her experiences and incorporates them into her everyday work. She’s driven by challenge and will always be striving for perfection. She currently works at the Inclusive Excellence Center at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She creates impactful marketing materials for various events and programs within the office like U1.0 a program dedicated to helping first generation students transition into college and succeed. Alena loves working with the IEC team and creating design that represents programs that are dedicated to helping students succeed.

Description

This project is a fun and whimsical approach to my own personal beliefs and values. I created this children’s book to create a lighthearted and lively piece that represents myself.
