Bio

Kelly is a senior Design & Visual Communication student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Having already earned her associate degree in Graphic Design from Waukesha County Technical College, she is building her conceptual skills on a solid foundation of hands-on, technical training.

Her past internship experience includes enhancing the online presence of an e-commerce company. She is currently interning at a public relations agency in Milwaukee, completing design work for an extensive variety of clients including Meijer, Rare Steakhouse, Nicolet School District, and the City of Glendale.

Meticulous attention to typographic detail is what sets Kelly’s work apart as a designer. Her clean, modern design aesthetic lends itself well to her endeavors and originates from a deeply rooted love of organization and simplicity.

When she’s not designing, she enjoys chasing birds around with her Nikon, attending local concerts, writing scraps of stories, and adding to her growing collection of succulent plants.

Description

My manifesto revolves around the concept of awareness, and the profound impact that it has on the quality of our everyday lives.
By weaving letterforms through texturally rich imagery, I visually present this message in a way that is both immediate and obscured. Awareness is something that requires effort; it must be practiced.
After all, you choose what to pay attention to. Be radically receptive.
