The MED-AUDIT project began in the mid-2000s with the aim to develop an objective rating system for the assessment of medical devices and equipment accessibility. After several years of successful research and development, accompanied by many publications and presentations in national and international conferences, this project laid dormant for almost a decade. Recently, this project rose again from the ashes following the submission of several high-profilegrantproposals to NIH and NIDILRR.

These proposals aim to dust off the accessibility scoring algorithm, information presentation and user interface, and data collection methodology. Stayed tuned for more updates from the “new and improved” MED-AUDIT team.
