Dr. Sidney Ebert is the Director of Dental Services at Community Smiles Dental, a non-profit organization that provides high-quality dental care to underserved populations throughout Southeastern Wisconsin.  Community Smiles Dental focuses on programs providing oral health services to children, pregnant patients, and patients with special healthcare needs who are insured by Medicaid or have income that falls at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines and are uninsured. 

Wisconsin Medicaid members face significant barriers to accessing oral health care.  Despite Medicaid providing comprehensive coverage for dental services, the majority of its members never receive comprehensive dental care.

This presentation will highlight:

• Populations experiencing the highest oral health disparities
• Barriers to oral health access
• Strategies for improving oral health access in Wisconsin
