Bennett Reed was named the Milwaukee Athletics Director of Strength & Conditioning in February 2024, and will enter his first full year in the role in 2024-25.

Reed came to Milwaukee after serving as the Director of Athlete Performance at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California where he served as the head strength and conditioning coach for the women’s basketball, men’s soccer, and volleyball programs with the Tigers.

While at Pacific, Reed was responsible for the workload of the student athletes, while also supervising the department’s three full-time employees and student interns. His time at Pacific, which began in September 2021, also including working with the men’s tennis and women’s soccer programs.

Before heading to California, Reed worked at Ferris State University in Michigan, where he was the head strength and conditioning coach for the men's & women's basketball programs, while also assisting with the Bulldog football team.

Reed began his professional career at Wagner College on Staten Island in New York City. While there he worked with eight of the department’s teams directly, while also assisting with an additional seven teams. He also assisted in various administrative duties while in New York.

Several of his other stops included Santa Clara and Coastal Carolina, and Manhattan College.

He received his master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing while at Wagner, which followed his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology at UW-Milwaukee three years prior.

He is First Aid, AED and CPR certified as well as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
