The Joseph J. Zilber College of Public Health is proud to celebrate academic advisor Kelsi Faust, Ed.D. on being named the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee’s 2025 Advisor of the Year.
The annual award, presented by the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee Advisors/Coaches Network, recognizes outstanding advising and exceptional commitment to student success.
Since joining the Zilber College in 2018 as the College’s inaugural undergraduate academic advisor, Faust has played a vital role in shaping and supporting the student experience. She now advises students pursuing the Bachelor of Science in Public Health and Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences programs, along with associated academic degree guides, minors and certificates.
Known for her compassion, responsiveness and unwavering dedication to students, Faust has become a trusted mentor and advocate for many throughout their academic journeys.
“As Kelsi’s supervisor, it is difficult to fully capture her dedication, compassion and talent,” said Kate Brondino, Director of the Zilber College Office of Student Affairs. “She has made an extraordinary impact on our students and our college community.”
The nomination process included letters of support from her colleagues, as well as numerous heartfelt testimonials from students whose lives have been positively impacted by Faust’s advising.

Faust’s recognition reflects not only her excellence in academic advising, but also the deep care and commitment she brings to supporting students every day.
