About the Polish Program

UWM Polish program in the Department of Ancient and Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures offers four semesters of language instruction, two courses in literature, a course in Polish culture and civilization, an independent study, and the Summer School course in Poland. Professor Michael Mikos also teaches independent study courses in translation under the aegis of the Master of Arts in Language, Literature, and Translation and offers numerous off-campus lectures and programs.

Summer School in Poland

UWM Polish Program offers students a summer session study abroad experience in cooperation with the John Paul II Catholic University. The University is located in the historic and beautiful city of Lublin in southeast Poland. Lublin dates back to the 10th century and is an important cultural and academic center and a wonderful location for our exciting Summer School of Polish Language and Culture study abroad program.
