Wisconsin Big Idea Qualifier: Win up to $1,500
March 27 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

We are thrilled to announce that the Lubar Entrepreneurship Center (LEC) will not only host our annual UW-Milwaukee Wisconsin Big Idea Qualifier (WBIQ), but this year we will also be hosting the statewide WiSys Big Idea Tournament. Our very own UWM student, Mitchelle Lyle, took first-place at both the UWM qualifier and the 2023 statewide Tournament with her innovative venture, International Travel Advisor (ITA). Another UW-Milwaukee student, Kayla Lokker, received the People’s Choice Award and $250 for her business, Easy Wear Jewelry, at the 2024 Big Idea Tournament.
The WiSys Big Idea Tournament is a renowned statewide entrepreneurship competition open to undergraduate and graduate students from University of Wisconsin schools (excluding UW-Madison). It offers lean startup training, business mentorship, and the chance to win seed funding.
Why Participate in the UWM Qualifier?
