Personal or Library owned books, textbooks or other supplementary materials can be placed on Reserve for students to use. It is important for students (including those in online classes) to have copies of course textbooks available on Reserve for them to use between classes, if they are unable to afford copies or if textbooks are unavailable or in the process of being shipped. Photocopied articles or books cannot be placed on Reserve.
Donate Textbooks to the Library
The Media and Reserve Library accepts donations of textbooks to help other students. Please include the course and instructor information they were used in.
Reserve Circulation Policy
Books and items on Reserve are loaned out for 2-hours, 2-days or 7-days. Items with a 2-hour loan period may not leave the library. Loan periods for Reserve materials are determined by the instructors and departments who place the items on physical Reserve. Only materials owned by instructors or the UWM Libraries may be placed on Reserve. UWM Libraries is unable to place items held by other libraries (with the exception of Waukesha and Washington campuses) on Reserve.

Reserve Resources for Instructors
Faculty or departmental copies of books or Media can be dropped off at the Media and Reserve Library or sent via campus mail. Please include the professor’s name and course #.

Models on Reserve
There are several Models on Reserve available for 2 hour loan: Including a brain, skull, heart, human torso and an Inorganic/Organic Chemistry kit.
2-hour Reserve items: $.50 per hour
2-day and 7-day items: $1 per day
