Scholarly Publishing with MDPI
Join the UWM Libraries on Nov. 4 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the Fourth Floor Conference Center for a workshop to learn about and discuss best practices for scholarly publishing with MDPI (Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute).
MDPI is a publisher of peer-reviewed open access journals. UWM authors across schools and colleges publish and serve on editorial boards and topical advisory panels for MDPI journals. UWM is a member of the MDPI Institutional Open Access Program which provides a 10% discount on article processing charges. In this workshop, the publisher will provide an overview of their journals, use of artificial intelligence, and how to get involved in professional service for peer review or editorial boards of scholarly journals. In addition, UWM faculty authors will discuss their personal experiences in the publishing process and share their insights on these topics.
Those interested in attending should register using this link by Nov. 2. Questions about the event can be directed to Science Librarian Svetlana Korolev at skorolev@uwm.edu .
