LGBTQ+ History in Milwaukee

Archives and Special Collections features many rare books, archival records, printed materials, and oral histories that trace the history of LGBTQ+ Milwaukeeans. Celebrate Pride by viewing “LGBTQ+ History in Milwaukee,” an exhibit highlighting materials from the Gay People’s Union, rare books and printed materials focusing on trans and nonbinary Milwaukeeans, the House of History Black LGBTQ+ Oral History Project, and many other collections.
View “LGBTQ+ History in Milwaukee” now through August 31 in the Archives and Special Collections Gallery on the third floor of the Golda Meir Library.
