- 2026 Fromkin Awardee to Examine Oneida Activist’s Progressive Era Urban Development InitiativeMaura Lucking Maura Lucking, assistant professor of the history of architecture in the UWM School of Architecture & Urban Planning, is the recipient of the 2026 Morris Fromkin Memorial Grant. - UWM Libraries Analyze Faculty and Graduate Student Library Satisfaction Survey ResultsA UWM Libraries task force is working through the results of the fall 2025 survey of faculty, instructional and research staff, and graduate students. Over 550 people completed the survey, providing insight into how they use the Libraries’ collections, services, and spaces. Overall, faculty, staff, and graduate-student respondents are satisfied with the services and spaces provided. In particular, interlibrary loan and general support for teaching and research are viewed as successful and needed services. - American Geographical Society Library to Conserve Rare Atlases With Gladys Krieble Delmas Foundation GrantThe American Geographical Society Library will conserve rare atlases from its Rare Materials Room thanks to a $25,000 grant from the Gladys Krieble Delmas Foundation. The grant will facilitate the repair of five maritime navigational atlases dating from 1693, and other rare atlases with the balance of funding.
