Resonating with the 1789 storming of the Bastille, the documentary follows the 2019 staging of Les Indes Galantes at the Opéra Bastille. In this version of Rameau’s 1735 baroque masterpiece, urban dances and opera singing come together and rush the traditional barriers separating the opera world from urban cultures.
