What’s it like to discover a new career path while you’re already in college? For Aleksandr Wellner, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee gave him the flexibility and real-world exposure to follow what interested him most – data analytics.
After starting in project management during his first internship, Wellner realized he was more drawn to working with data. With support from UW-Milwaukee, he changed his major and explored multiple roles, from manufacturing engineering to customer care, where he now works as a customer experience analyst. Wellner gained hands-on experience with industry tools, including enterprise resource planning systems, and learned directly from professors who brought real professional experience into the classroom. That combination helped him build practical skills and confidence before graduation.
