Orientation Advising Information

  • Welcome to the College of Letters and Science! We are excited to meet you and get to know you as you begin your journey as a Panther.

    At your Orientation, you will meet with an academic advisor and register for your first semester. To help us prepare and best advise you, please complete the form below as thoroughly as possible. When we meet, we will discuss your interests, review your course placement levels, and discuss any college credit you may have earned by taking tests and/or completing college-level courses in high school.
  • Your UWM ID is a nine-digit number that starts with 9 (i.e. 9xx-xx-xxxx). You can find it your acceptance letter and in your Orientation registration.
  • Test Credits
    Please indicate below which exams you have completed. If you know your scores, please include those as well.

    If you do not know your score or have not received scores yet for this year, please just indicate “I don’t know.”

    If you do not know score information at this time, your advisor will help you understand what steps to take when your scores are available.
  • List the name of the exam(s) followed by your score(s), if known. Example: Art History: 3 or Art History: I don’t know
  • List the name of the exam(s) followed by your score(s), if known. Example: Art–(HL): 4 or Art–(HL): I don’t know
  • List the name of the exam(s) followed by your score(s), if known. Example: Biology: 63 or Biology: I don’t know
  • Please list below any college level credits you have completed with as much information as possible (college or university awarding credit, department and course number, course title):
  • Add additional rows as necessary by clicking the + sign.
    Example: UW-Oshkosh   |   English 101   |   College English 1

  • This can include notes about your intended major and interests, supports received in high school (i.e. IEP or 504 plan), unique circumstances or concerns, etc.
  • Your responses will be sent to your advisor for review before your orientation advising and registration meeting. You can find the name of your assigned advisor in PAWS in the column on the right side of your Student Center.
