We are happy to invite UWM and other Wisconsin language instructors to apply for support to attend pedagogical  instutitutes during Summer 2025 thanks to UWM’s Title VI NRC Grant.

In 2025, CARLA will offer seven online (asynchronous and synchronous) institutes and four in-person institutes (held on the University of Minnesota campus) on a wide range of topics: ONLINE INSTITUTES-ASYNCHRONOUS Culture as the Core in the Second Language Classroom—July 14–August 1 ONLINE INSTITUTES-SYNCHRONOUS Secondary Dual Language Immersion—June 23–27 TeachTok: Social Media Hacks to Level Up Your Language Teaching Game—July 8–10 Teaching for Proficiency in Dual Language Immersion—July 8–10 Introduction to Dual Language Immersion—July 14–18 Empowering Language Teachers to Leverage AI—July 22–24—FULL! Seals of Biliteracy: Establishing and Expanding Programs—July 29–31
