SOIS Student Research Day: Call For Proposals

Submit your research projects, research papers, software applications, or research proposals for the SOIS Research Day!
SOIS undergraduate, masters, and doctoral students are invited to showcase their work by participating in the 2023 Annual Student Research Day. Participation will be based on students’ course projects or professional work. Presentations may be on any topic germane to information studies and may draw on any research methodology. Students whose paper proposals are accepted will be allotted 15-minutes to present their topic. The presentation can be a PowerPoint, a poster, a demonstration, a pre-made video, a text document, or other formats chosen by the students. Group projects are welcome. Presentations will be live-streamed. Distance students are encouraged to submit their work.
Submission requirements:Â Students interested in participating must submit a proposal (Word or pdf file) that includes the following:
- Author name(s) and email address(es)
- Undergraduate or graduate student status
- Type of project: PowerPoint, poster, demonstration, video, text, or other
- Title of the project
- Abstract of the research project (maximum 500 words)

Proposals will be reviewed by members of the Research Committee and notifications of acceptance will be sent by March 17, 2023.
