Telashay Swope-Farr, PhD

Telashay Swope-Farr, Ph.D., is a mathematics educator, college advocate, urban education and math education researcher, author, and mentor. Her work involves developing students’ mathematics knowledge and abilities, preparing them for higher-level mathematics. She earned several awards for her outstanding teaching and leadership qualities. Dr. Swope-Farr is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Math and Natural Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she supports and teaches students in the First Year Bridge Program and coordinates the Math Success Strategies Course. Dr. Swope-Farr earned her Ph.D. in Urban Education with a specialization in Mathematics Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She was a McNair Scholar and Advanced Opportunity Program Fellow.
