You have questions and we have answers. Scroll through the list of questions below for some common questions and answers. If you have further questions, contact us!

What does Early Bird Discount mean?

We offer a 10% “Early Bird Discount” on certain classes in our catalog if we receive your registration at least three weeks before the start of the class. The discount doesn’t apply to special community classes, trips or travel opportunities (including field trips), or online and credit classes.

Is there a discount for seniors?

Yes, in addition to the Early Bird Discount, we offer a Silver Dollar Discount, which is an extra 5% off for anyone over 62. The discount doesn’t apply to special community classes, trips or travel opportunities (including field trips), or online and credit classes. To receive this discount, you must enter your date of birth in the online registration system. You can also get this discount if you register over the phone, by mail or in person.

What is the Youth Event Health Form?

The Youth Event Health Form is required for all minors (under age 18) to participate in our classes. A new health form must be submitted for each class that the student registers for, since health history is subject to change. All Youth Event Health Forms must be scanned, faxed or mailed to Continuing Education before the start of class.

How do I find out where my classroom is?

Class details are provided in our online catalog along with the class description. You will receive an email confirmation with your class location about a week before the start of the class. You can also call the Waukesha office at 262-521-5460 or the Washington County office at 262-335-5208 for course information.

I didn’t receive an email confirmation for my class. Is it running?

If you did not receive a confirmation for your course and it is less than seven days before the start date, please call the Waukesha office at 262-521-5460 or the Washington County office at 262-335-5208 for assistance.

I’m not sure where I should park. Do I need a pass?

Directions to each campus and a campus map will be included with your class confirmation about a week before the start of your class. Parking passes are not required at either campus after 4 p.m. on weekdays or weekends. Check with your specific campus to learn more about parking rules.

How will I know if my class in canceled because of weather?

All participants will be notified via email about any course cancellation. If you do not have an email address, you will need to contact our office or check for a weather bulletin on the homepage to find out if classes have been canceled. All canceled classes will be rescheduled. If students elect to not attend because of weather, no voucher or refund will be given.

I won’t be able to attend a course I registered for. How do I cancel my enrollment?

We understand that sometimes life happens. If you cancel 8 days prior to the start of your class, we are happy to issue an account credit/voucher to you. If you do not provide an 8-day cancellation notice, you will not be eligible to receive a credit/voucher*. For Continuing Education to continue to provide the community with the outreach programming that we have, all cancellations will be assessed a 6% administrative fee.

*Please remember, vouchers are not issued for and cannot be used towards online or credit courses.*

I would like to support Continuing Education. Can I make a donation?

Yes! All donations are appreciated and go to Continuing Education’s program fund. We rely on donations to help us provide quality programs for the community. You can easily add a donation in our online registration system during checkout. If you have any questions, please call our office or visit our Support Continuing Education webpage.

Can I receive credits for Continuing Education courses?

Continuing education units (CEUs) may be awarded upon completion of a class, either on campus or online. Ten class hours is equivalent to 1.0 CEU. If you would like to request CEUs, please contact the Continuing Education office before the start of your class. A $15 fee is charged per class to process CEU requests.

Do I need to purchase a textbook or supplies for my course?

Textbook and supply information can be found on the Continuing Education registration website within the course description and will be sent via email with the class confirmation about a week before your class starts. Students are responsible for purchasing course materials before the first day of class. Texts can be purchased at a local bookstore or through an online vendor.
