Trip Dates: March 15, 7 a.m. departure — March 22, 9:30 p.m. return to campus
Outdoor Pursuits is visiting four of Utah’s national parks this spring break! Join us for a week of camping, exploring and hiking Utah’s unique landscape, featuring arches, canyons, geologic marvels and more. This eight-day trip includes all transportation, equipment, instruction, lodging and meals. No worries if you haven’t been camping before. We will teach you everything you need to know and provide you with the essential gear.
Registration closes Feb. 28. This trip will have two mandatory pre-trip meetings in March with all participants and trip leaders. There is an option to place a $200 deposit at checkout – the remainder of the balance must be paid in person at Outdoor Pursuits before the trip’s departure. Itinerary (subject to change):
3/15 Drive to Sterling, Colorado, and stay in a hotel
3/16 Finish the drive to Kodachrome State Park, set up camp, dinner, bedtime
3/17 Hike in Grand Staircase Escalante
3/18 Hike in Bryce Canyon National Park and drive to Zion National Park
3/19 Hike and camp in Zion National Park
3/20 Explore Moab, Utah, and Arches National Park
3/21 Start the morning in Canyonlands National Park and drive to Ogallala, Nebraska, and stay in a hotel
3/22 Finish drive and arrive back at UWM
