Looking Local
The UWM Economics Department is the major source of economics PhDs for the state of Wisconsin.
Our graduates work at the UW campuses in La Crosse, Milwaukee, Oshkosh, Whitewater and River Falls. They serve on the faculties of Edgewood College, Lakeland University, Marquette University, Mount Mary University and St. Norbert College. They are employed by Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance, Robert W. Baird and Wells Fargo.
Among the academic crew two of our own are ranked by IDEAS/RePEC as among the best researchers in the state Well done to Benjamin Artz (PhD 2008) and Chad Cotti (PhD 2006).
