Economics Club – Luke Delaney

Luke Delaney from G.E. Medical will discuss “An Economics approach to Products, Manufacturing and Business.”  Join us!

Luke Delaney is responsible for leading GE Healthcare’s Maternal & Infant Care business, a $250M business unit of GE Healthcare, the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of baby warmers, incubators, and maternal/fetal heart monitors, where our mission is to help send moms and babies home healthy.

Luke began his career with GE Healthcare as an electrical engineer and has worked in a variety of roles in engineering, product development, clinical research, and business management during that time.  He holds B.S. and M.Eng. degrees from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY and is a 2007 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Economics M.A. program with a focus on labor economics and organizational design.

He will be joining the UWM Economics club on September 22nd for an open discussion and to talk through his UWM Economics experience, and the benefits of thinking like an economist when approaching a variety of practical challenges in product development, manufacturing, and business in general.
