The Holahan Teaching Prize goes to Labesh Kumar.

Labesh Kumar won the 2026 William L. Holahan Prize for Outstanding Teaching by a Graduate Student. First given in 2014, the prize recognizes the graduate student who excels in teaching as determined by faculty committee recommendation and by student evaluations. Established to recognize the 40 years of outstanding teaching and service by William Holahan, the prize emphasizes the importance of excellent teaching for the discipline and for the Department.
