At the end of the term we said good-bye to those economics students graduating this year. We also connected with alumni and friends during this annual event. Back to speak to us was Evan Andrew (MA 2017), Senior Audit Manager, BMO. He discussed his path since graduation. He emphasized the need in the market or those who have the ability to explain data and the importance of fruitfully using technology while building trust in the resulting output.
We also learned from Barry Diamond, longtime Senior Vice President of Business Development at Cielo. Barry was responsible for cultivating, delivering and managing new business and is an expert in talent acquisition. He spoke of how to find a job in the age of AI and explained the importance of having a “story” and telling it well as part of that process.
