We invite you to an online information session to learn more about the Master’s of Data Science program at UWM. Whether you’re looking to advance your career, pivot into a new field, or deepen your expertise, you will be able to learn more about the unique aspects of completing a Master’s of Data Science program at UWM. We will share more about the personal approach provided for each individual student, student services available to you as you are supported through the program, as well as more detail about the academic coursework, instruction and the admissions requirements for the program.

Dr. Purush Papatla, Professor for the Master’s in Data Science program and Co-Director for the Northwestern Mutual Data Science Institute will share more about the Master’s in Data Science program from the perspective of a professor. Dr. Papatla will be able to address questions on topics such as the internship and capstone project experiences, student research opportunities, completing a master’s thesis and how to best prepare to be a successful student in the program. The rest of the session time following Dr. Papatla’s insights will be open for questions and answers. It is requested that prospective students attend a Data Science information session before attending this faculty insights session to understand how to be admitted to the program, student support services and course details of the program, as these topics will not be covered in the faculty insights session.
