Habitat for Humanity Emergency Service Trip to Sauk County
March 13, 2022 - March 27, 2022
The Habitat for Humanity Wisconsin River Area (which includes the Sauk County Region) is in need of volunteers to assist after flooding devastated a low-income, senior living facility that is community-owned. We are seeking volunteers to assist as they hurry to get the facility back in good condition because now the senior citizens are displaced from their homes. All of the work is indoors, and no experience is necessary. Volunteers will be assisting with drywalling, hanging cabinets, and painting, all under the guidance of the Habitat for Humanity crew.
Volunteers can sign up for two-day shifts (with the ability to sign up for multiple shifts if volunteers would like). Transportation, most meals, and lodging are provided.
UWM Center for Community-Based Learning, Leadership, and Research (CCBLLR) is hoping to recruit a few volunteers for two-day shifts between December 1 – Dec 15. We will have a university van that will drop off volunteers the night before their shift begins, and then bring volunteers back after their second day of volunteering. To register, please submit this form and then we will be in touch with the details.
