The Student Success Center is exploring options for updating their tutoring space to accommodate a growing number of students and enhance the overall student engagement experience. Their current space in the ground floor of the east library wing has a number of challenges in terms of visibility, circulation, and programmable space. CDS reconfigured the library location to better accommodate SSC functions, access, and flow including: wall removals, wall additions, furniture layout, paint recommendations, and signage enhancements. A large space on the second floor of Bolton Hall above the SSC offices has been vacant for a few years and offered an alternative tutoring location. Concepts were developed to create a welcoming tutoring experience, including flexible spaces for large instructional groups, as well as numerous small group tutoring.
