This visionary project is the result of a collaboration between the Milwaukee Public Library (MPL), the MPL Foundation and Community Design Solutions; a community design center at the College of Arts & Architecture at UWM. The “Cream City Courtyard”, envisioned here, connects the newly renovated Central Library conference room to a previously hidden outdoor space. This catalytic project has the potential to be a prime attraction as the library transforms the former bookstore into an event venue.
